For those of you looking to make your own trade station this will be an excellent area to get some ideas.
Trade Stations:
Rick's Trade Station - very nice setup for a small room. Rick spent a week with me in our training class. Nice job Rick!
Dave Alexander's Trading Room - Dell 500 mhz Pentium III, 128 MB RAM, 3 19" Trinitron monitors and an Appian Jeronimo Pro video card, DSL modem and backup 56K modem, using RealTick III at MBTrading. Also, one Grape-flavored iMac also connected to the DSL modem via Ethernet network and used exclusively for for chat rooms and web surfing. The iMac actually speaks the chatrooms to me using Text-To-Speech technology, so I don't have to look at the screen and take my eyes off the charts and L2. Way cool! In the picture, to the left you can't see the TV hooked up to a sat dish for CNBC (and CNN/FN simultaneously using picture-in-picture).
Christopher Steele's Trading Room Picture 2 The setup: Dual 600mhz Cpu's 256mb Rambus Ram 4 - 19in. monitors 1 - 15in monitor 100mbps LAN, connected to a Linksys switch, D-link Hub, and a Netgear printserver Hooked to the Net by a 1mb cable modem. Running: Cybertrader, ATFinancial, Qcharts

One additional item that should be added is a second monitor. This will give your trading software room to spread out. It makes it more comforting and pleasing to the eye. You will need a computer that uses the Windows 98 operating system. Then it is just a matter of adding an additional video card. I personally like the ATI Expert 98 video cards. They are cheap and work well with other video cards.
